Leveraging Application Infrastructure
Microsoft. NET and XML Web Services are increasingly becoming a de-facto standard for application integration across the web. The .NET technology generates new value from legacy and current applications by providing a straightforward integration mechanism with these systems.
.NET allows applications to communicate through XML Web Services, so any application can share data with any other application, regardless of their device or programming language.

EMC Ionix Service Manager and .NET
Ionix Service Manager provides a .NET API built on the Microsoft .NET architecture. This enables applications written with Visual Studio .NET to interface with Infra. This API is also published as a web service, allowing many applications written on a variety of platforms running in a distributed environment to access the API.
Any web services enabled third party application can communicate with Ionix Service Manager , with minimal development required for integration.
Ionix Service Manager can therefore be easily integrated alongside existing application infrastructure on any platform. Corporations can leverage new value from existing applications and provide improved products and services without the initial and ongoing expense of a traditional integration project.
The API and web services platform are available out-of-the-box, and provide a straightforward approach to integration and data sharing. The API and web services can be used to access a vast array of pre-defined transactions, including:
